James Edward “Doc” Holladay, 79, of Hillsboro died in his sleep March 9, 2022. Mr. Holladay was retired from Laclede Gas. He loved building models of World War II artillery and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Sandy (Schaller) Holladay; a daughter: Tami Brueggemann; a grandson: Raistlin (Katelynn) Brueggemann; a great-grandson: Carter Brueggemann; and a brother: David (Sharon) Holladay. He was preceded in death by his parents: Forrest and Pearl “Betty” (Workman) Holladay; and a brother: Daniel.
Mr. Holladay chose to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
