James E. ‘Jim’ Mayfield, 73, died Jan 9, 2015, and Sandra M. (Krueger) Mayfield, 71, died Jan. 10, 2015, of injuries they sustained in a December fire at the couple’s Festus home.
Mr. Mayfield was retired from McDonnell-Douglas and was a 32nd-degree Mason. Born Oct. 12, 1941, in St. Louis, he was the son of Albert and Emma (Jobes) Mayfield.
Mrs. Mayfield also was retired from McDonnell-Douglas. She was born Sept. 15, 1943, in St. Louis, the daughter of Herbert and Anna (Taraszak) Krugger.
The Mayfields are survived by several siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service was held Jan. 13 at Fey Funeral Home in St. Louis County. Burial was in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the Dalmatian Club of Greater St. Louis. Arrangements were under the direction of Fey Funeral Home.
