James Arthur McGee, 76, of Festus died June 8, 2018, at his home. Mr. McGee was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired boilermaker from Nelco Linings. Born Jan. 4, 1942, in Naylor, he was the son of the late Roy and Lizzie McGee.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Phyllis (Rainwater) McGee; four children: Curtis Wayne (Christina) McGee of Bridgeton, Carolyn Sue (Keith) Moore of Festus, James A. (Mary) McGee Jr. of West Plains and Diane “Dee Dee” (Larry) Woodruff of Mountain View; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Don (Sandy) McGee of Lake City, Ark., John (the late Barb) McGee of Naylor and Bill (Sue) McGee of Naylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Ruth, Barb, Patty and Linda; and three brothers: Dick, Bert and Leroy.
Graveside services were June 12 at Naylor Memorial. Arrangements were under the direction of Fowler and Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville.
