Jackie D. “Jack” Shearon, 78, of Hillsboro died June 1, 2017, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Shearon was a boilermaker with the Boilermakers Local 27 Union. Born Nov. 24, 1938, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late Clyde and Bonnie (Moceri) Shearon.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Margaret Shearon; two children: Anthony (Karen) Shearon of St. Peters and Tim Shearon of the Hill neighborhood in St. Louis; three siblings: Kenny (Edna) Shearon of Poplar Bluff, Bobby Shearon of Poplar Bluff and Delores (Greg) Shearon of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren: Cam, Ty, Chance and Brock Shearon of St. Peters.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the funeral at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, at McLaughlin Funeral Home, 2301 Lafayette Ave., St. Louis, with Rick Lay officiating. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaughlin Funeral Home.
