Jack M. Birmes, 80, of Arnold died Aug. 31, 2020. Mr. Birmes was a retired machinist from General Metals where he worked for 26 years. He loved bowling. Born Oct. 28, 1939, he was the son of the late William and Dorthy Birmes.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Glenda Birmes.
He is survived by three sons: Jeff Birmes of St. Louis, Robert (Cathi) Birmes of Eureka and Jimmy (Teresa) Birmes of Hibbing, Minn.; a daughter: Terri (Mark) Berlin of Imperial; 11grandchildren: Johnathon, Lauren, Cory, Dylan, Ashlee, Mark Jr., Matt, Kreisten, Kelby, Kody and Jerzee; eight great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Makenna, Cooper, Kendall, Cameron, Jacob, Liam and Cali Ann; and a daughter-in-law: Stacy Birmes of Hawarden, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by a son: Dennis Birmes; a brother: Gary Birmes; and a sister: Linda Thien.
