Herbert E. “Bob” Grace Jr., 76 of Crystal City died July 17, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Grace a retired drafter for Clark Doors and served in the U.S. Navy. He graduated with cum laude honors from Jefferson College. He was a member of the Festus-Crystal City Elks, American Legion Post 253 in Festus, and the Mississippi River Eagles in Crystal City. Born May 24, 1942, in Seattle, he was the son of the late Juanita Faye (Gonzales) and Herbert E. Grace Sr.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon (Siemes) Grace; three daughters: Destiny Grace of Lacey, Wash., Bryanna (Paul) Gray of Tacoma, Wash. and Katherine Grace of Klamath Falls, Ore.; two sisters: Cheryl Grace of Port Townsend, Wash., and Dawn Grace of Washington; a brother: Clyde (Sally) Grace of Port Townsend; a grandson: Christopher Benson; and a brother-in-law: Howard Bill of Washington.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Patricia (the late Robert) Crum, Shirley (the late William) McWilliams, and Sylvia Bill.
A memorial gathering was held July 20 at Vinyard Funeral Home, Festus, followed by an Elks and American Legion service with military honors. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
