Clark, Helen

Helen K. Clark, 60, of De Soto died Dec. 4, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Clark had worked as a legal secretary for Joan Bryant Law Office and was a member of First Baptist Church in De Soto. Born Sept. 25, 1957, in England, she was the daughter of the late  Elizabeth Ann “Betty” (Linggard) Hubbard and Bobby Gene Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald C. Clark II.

She is survived by eight children: Robert (Melissa) Hemmen of De Soto, Lisa Hemmen of De Soto, Lori Hemmen of Arnold, Sally Clark of Hannibal, Doni Clark of De Soto, Bobbi Jean (Ryan) Hall of De Soto, Cody (Brittany) Clark of De Soto and Clinton (Abbie Breihan) Clark of Hillsboro; two sisters: Patricia (Mike) Corpuz of Fenton and Mary Hackney of De Soto; 21 grandchildren: Jenna, Jonathan, Haley, Kylie, Mikie, Abigail, Hayden, Tommy, Albert, Emma, Lilly Jo, Hunter, Ryan II, Riley, Elizabeth, Bentley, Isaac, Mary Jane, Brandon, Leah and Arianna.

She was preceded in death by a son: Nathan Hemmen; and two grandchildren: Ethan and Alyhia.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Jeremy Muniz. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
