Helen Genevieve Bollinger, 92, of Festus died May 12, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Bollinger was a first part inspector for 18 years with Howard Industries and a member of First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City. Born July 11, 1923, in Flat River, she was the daughter of the late Lulu B. (Skaggs) and Felix J. Turnbeau. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leo Franklin Bollinger.
She is survived by two sons: Frank (Jennifer) Bollinger of Kirkwood and Rick L. (Linda) Bollinger of Festus; a daughter: Nancy Buenniger of Barnhart; a sister: Margie Valentine of Fredericktown; seven grandchildren: Traci (Mark) Higgins, Jon (Brittany) Bollinger, Heath (Lori) Bollinger, Doug (Kim) Wright, Jeffrey (Heather) Wright, Wade Buenniger and Zachary (Alissa) Buenniger; and seven great-grandchildren: Cheyenne Brown, Alex Bollinger, Alyssa Bollinger, Teagynn Bollinger, Thad Higgins, Tyler Wyatt and Beau Buenniger. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Clinton Turnbeau, Nick Turnbeau, Loyd Turnbeau and Willard Turnbeau; and three sisters: Pearl Graham, Alamae Kelley and Ines Hahs.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus, officiated by Chaplain Cody Alley. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
