Hazel Irene Thebeau, 81, of De Soto died Nov. 18, 2015, at her home. Mrs. Thebeau was a homemaker. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Amvets Ladies Auxiliary. Born March 1, 1934, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Ernest L. and Virdie “Marie” (Patterson) Huskey.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Floyd Thebeau of De Soto; seven children: Paul (Vicki) Thebeau of Bonne Terre, Paula (Jim) Davis of De Soto, Donna Hammond of Pevely, Debbie Davis of De Soto, Danny Thebeau of Bonne Terre, Pam (Don) Aylesworth of De Soto and Patty (Rusty) Hammond of De Soto; six siblings: Juanita (the late Homer) Thebeau of De Soto, Genevieve (Ollie) Shoults of Hematite, Nellie (Herbert) Caldwell of Festus, Alice (John) Robertson of Casper, Wyo., Lilburn (Mary Lou) Huskey of De Soto and James (Pam) Huskey of Billings, Mont.; 17 grandchildren: Chastidy, Tonya, Jason, Christopher, Sarah, Jennifer, Danny, Shawn, Bazil, Miles, Beth, Jeremy, Joshua, Rachel, Ben, Gary and Adam; and 28 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Donald Huskey.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the funeral home, officiated by Ollie Shoults. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
