Hazel Elizabeth (Hildebrand) Huff, 81, of Plato died Nov. 18, 2020, at her home. Mrs. Huff was born May 18, 1939, in Boone Township, the daughter of the late Katie Okla (Cassidy) and Charley James Hildebrand. She accepted Jesus as her savior at a young age. She enjoyed growing flowers, caring for hummingbirds, and cleaning. She loved listening to country and gospel music and watching wrestling. Hazel was a good listener and a n excellent cook, well known for her Boston Brown Rolls and Pumpkin Pie Cake. She was preceded in death by three husbands: Vernon McEntyre, whom she married on April 27, 1957; Jay Carlos Russell, whom she married in 1968; and Robert Huff, to whom she was married for 20 years before his death died in 2000.
She is survived by three children: Delta (David)Vines, Alan Russell and Liz Hutson; four grandchildren: Andrew Vines, Katie Hutson, Dustin (Jamilynn) Hutson and Kyle (Amanda) Johnson; eight great-grandchildren: Leroy, Javan, Carliss, Adam, Madison, Amara, Zoey and Phoebe; four siblings: Reba (Wilson) Lane, Jim (Phyllis) Hildebrand, Wilma Zook and Joe Hildebrand; and two people she thought of as her children: Tina (Jamie) Darter and children Jessica, Jamilynn and Tiffany; and Viola (Ronnie) Garrett and daughter Sarah Fleming.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Ethmer and Gary Hildebrand; and three sisters: Eula Wade, Lillian Vaughn and Anna Marie Parks.
Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Roby Baptist Church, 12750 Hwy. 17, in Roby. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the church, officiated by Pastor Wes Mayfield. Burial will follow in the Long Hollow Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Fox Funeral Home in Licking.
