Glacken, Harold

Harold “Tony” Glacken, 74, of Dittmer died April 24, 2016, at his St. Louis home. Mr. Glacken was the owner and operator of Dittmer Towing and Hwy 30 Towing. He loved to work, loved his tractors and his old cars and enjoyed mowing the grass and driving his pink Corvette. He was born July 4, 1941, in St. Louis, the son of the late Harold W. and Mary (Doll) Glacken. He was preceded in death by his wife: Carolyn Glacken.

He is survived by four children: Tracy (Glacken) Cash, Tisha M. Glacken, Todd H. Glacken and Troy W. Glacken; eight grandchildren: Krystle Bowen, Karrie Bowen, Daisha Lipp, Alicia Lipp, Chelsey Glacken, Troy Glacken Jr., Jason Milligan and Ashley Mary Glacken; six great-grandchildren: Kylie Wolfe, Cheyanne Ryckman, Camron Rhees, Hayden Bowen, Carter Nolan and Harper Nolan; three siblings: Joan Komlas, Betty Koch and Carol Koch; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Little Tony D. Glacken and Travis S. Glacken; and a grandson, Korrie Bowen.

Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Visitation is 11 a.m. and a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at the funeral home. Burial is in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Memorials may be made to the Peace Pantry, P.O. Box 32, Cedar Hill, 63016. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
