Harold Lee O’Neal, 81, of Festus died June 12, 2021, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mr. O’Neal served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired auto parts manager after working for various Ford dealerships for 40 years. Born Feb. 10, 1940, in Leland, Miss., he was the son of the late Iva (Bevill) and WF O’Neal.
He is survived by his wife: JoAnn (Gann) O’Neal; a son: Gary Wayne (Leslie) O’Neal of Herculaneum; a daughter: Teresa Ann (Brad) Chapman of Imperial; and three grandchildren: Devin Michael O’Neal, Steven Andrew O’Neal and Leah Elizabeth O’Neal.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, June 21, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Rick Pirtle of Journey Community Church in De Soto. Burial with full military honors will take place in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
