Harold A. Neels, 93, of St. Louis died Jan. 6, 2022, at his home. Mr. Neels was an accountant and a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the 50-Plus Club. He was an avid bowler and golfer, and he loved gardening. Born July 22, 1928, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Frances (Stuckenburg) and August Neels. He was preceded in death by his wife: Ann M. (Heimsath) Neels.
He is survived by two children: Steven (Diane Davis) Neels Sr. of Festus and David (Michael Nichols) Neels of Rogers, Ark.; and two grandchildren: Steven (Sara) Neels Jr. and Amanda Neels.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Denise Neels; and a brother: Donald Neels.
Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 12, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Burial is in the Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis County. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
