Wooldridge, Hallie

Hallie Lee Wooldridge, 85, of Festus died Jan. 24, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Wooldridge was an Avon salesperson and a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Festus. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Born May 17, 1930, in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Betty (Clark) and Wilson Turberbille.

She is survived by her husband: Jerry Joe Wooldridge; four daughters: Sheila (the late Dennis) McHawes of Herculaneum, Linda (Rick) Schepers of Herculaneum, Jerra (Alan Yount) Wooldridge-Groman of Columbia and Rhonda (Mike) Gardiner of Festus; a son: Jeff (Ava) Wooldridge of Gravois Mills; two sisters: Doris (Robert) and Helen; a brother: David (the late Sue) Turberbille; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters: Louise (the late George), Effie (the late John) and Rosey; and two brothers: John and Earl.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Visitation is at 9 a.m., and a funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, at New Testament Baptist Church, 207 N. Mill, in Festus, officiated by Pastor Gib Adams. Burial is in the Sandy Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association or the ALS Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
