Grace L. Curtis, 88, of Union died Oct. 2, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Curtis and her husband founded and pastored Full Gospel Tabernacle Church in Times Beach and Eureka. Mrs. Curtis also was a librarian at Life Christian School in Fenton. She was a longtime volunteer at Crosspoint Christian School in Villa Ridge and at Mercy Hospital. Born July 25, 1930, in Holly Grove, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Epps and Fanny (Robinson) Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband: the Rev. James Curtis.

She is survived by six children: Karen Bokan of Eureka, Sharon (Leonard) Rodgers of Eureka, Larry (Trina) Curtis of House Springs, Kim (Kenny) Brand of Granite City, Ill., Patti (Bob) Nantz of Union and Jeff Curtis of St. Louis; seven grandchildren: Anthony Rodgers, Elisabeth (Stephen) Houseknecht, Christopher Curtis, Derek Curtis, Nathan (Britni) Brand, Becky (Kyle) Jones and A.J. Nantz; three great-grandchildren: James Houseknecht, Joanna Houseknecht and Lucia Jones; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She also was preceded in death by one son: James “Rick” Curtis; one daughter: Shirley Curtis; one brother: E.J. Hill; one sister: Lovelle Arnhart; and one son-in-law: Bill Bokan.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at Midlawn Funeral Home, 7280 State Hwy. 47, in Union. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery in Pond. Arrangements are under the direction of Midlawn Funeral Home.
