Glynn Cruise Higginbotham, 90, of Festus died Oct. 2, 2019, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Higginbotham was a retired project estimator for Union Electric and a member of Joachim Golf Club. He enjoyed traveling and camping. Born June 16, 1929, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Florence (Boyer) and Cruise James Higginbotham.
He is survived by his wife: Lydia (Saunders) Higginbotham; three sons: Greg Higginbotham of Strafford, Donald (Greta) Higginbotham of Bloomsdale and Scot (Christine) Higginbotham; a daughter: Diana (Dennis) Herrell of Festus; five grandchildren: Robert (Shanna) Higginbotham, Cheryl Higginbotham, Kristen (Matt) Bradley, Kevin Higginbotham and Phaedra Kesel; and 11 great-grandchildren: Megan, Nicole, Makayla, Marissa, Mylee, Josh, Kaden, Kenzi, Kalee, Ryan, and Aaron.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Wendell Lee (the late Doris) Higginbotham; and a sister: Margie (the late Bob) Dengler.
A memorial gathering will be from 3 until the memorial services at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Leslie Limbaugh. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Children’s Home in Farmington. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
