Glenwood L. Coleman, 80, of De Soto died March 15, 2022, at his home. Mr. Coleman worked in maintenance for Chrysler. He enjoyed hunting, making wine, mushroom hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. Born March 23, 1941, in Old Mines, he was the son of the late Kate M. (Thebeau) and Leo G. Coleman.
He is survived by his wife of more than 36 years: Linda (Lucas) Coleman of De Soto; three sons: Daniel (Rhonda) Boyer of Festus, Jeffrey Boyer of De Soto and Kyle Coleman of De Soto; four daughters: Tracy Coleman of Affton, Shellie (Steve) Sitzes of Arnold, Sandy Coleman of Fenton and Cathy (Roy) Bequette of De Soto; a brother: Bill Osia of Jasonville, Ind.; a sister: Ruth Slavit of Creve Coeur; 11 grandchildren: Amanda (JJ), Megan (Kyle), Alyssa (Damien), Jared (Lindsey), Breanna, Katlyn (Brett), Adam, Bryar, Hannah, Zach and Luke; two great-grandchildren: Harper and Ella; and many other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Bud (Jenn) Osia and Gerald “Toot” Coleman; a brother-in-law: Max Slavit; and two sisters: Alma Behr and Joyce Ann Coleman.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until a funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 Main St., in, De Soto, officiated by Deacon Ed. Burial is in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to Adopt-An-Angel, 504 S. Third St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
