Glennen K. Schaefer, 94, Imperial

Glennen K. Schaefer, 94, of Imperial died Nov. 25, 2021, at his home. Mr. Schaefer was a supervisor at Anheuser Busch, where he worked for 39 years. He was Christian. Born May 19, 1927, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Carrie (Seib) and Henry Schaefer.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Edna M. (Kelly) Schaefer.

He is survived by four children: John (Linda) Schaefer of Imperial, Mark Schaefer of Imperial, Steve (Carla) Schaefer of Arnold and Denise Keller of Hazelwood; eight grandchildren: Kim (the late Kevin) Torgerson of Pevely, Dawn (John) Herminghaus of Imperial, Dustin Schaefer of Omaha, Neb., Brad (Mari) Schaefer of Imperial, Sarah Schaefer of Hillsboro, Ryan Schaefer of Fenton, Josh (Jenny) Enright of St. Louis and Cory Schaefer of Rolla; nine great-grandchildren: Zach (Danni) Herminghaus of Imperial, Cody (Alicia) Torgerson of Pevely, Brendan Herminghaus of Imperial, Marissa Enright of St. Louis, Josh Enright Jr. of St. Louis, Catilin Simpson of Hillsboro, Aneesa Schaefer of Imperial, Celia Schaefer of Imperial and Brayden Schaefer of Rolla; and one great-grandchild on the way.

He also was preceded in death by two brothers: Roland (Bea) Schaefer and Westley (Winnie) Schaefer; and three sisters: Fern (Bill) Counsell, Audrey (Charlie) Williams and Marcia Schaefer.

Visitation will be from noon until a celebration of life at 2 p.m. Friday (Dec. 10) at Hoffmeister South County Funeral Home, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoffmeister Funeral Home.
