Perry, Glenda

Glenda W. (Reynolds) Graham-Perry, 91, of De Soto died  April 22, 2016, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Graham-Perry was a retired caseworker with the Division of Family Services in Hillsboro. She also spent many years building the De Soto Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service and Graham Linen Supply. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in De Soto and a St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to bake, fish, play cards, and travel. After retiring, she loved playing golf and visiting friends and family. Born Dec. 19, 1924, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late John and Jessie (Cole) Reynolds.

She is survived by her former husband: Paul Perry of De Soto; three children: Dixie Whaley of De Soto, Carla (Russell) Garcia of Orange, Calif., and Kim (Mark) Burton of San Clemente, Calif.; seven grandchildren: Chip and Darrin Whaley of De Soto, Kristin Wagner of California, Kayce Carter of Texas, Stephen Garcia of California and Danielle and Nick Burton of San Clemente, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald Whaley; and seven siblings: Paul Secrets, James Reynolds, Harry Fink, Vivian Lorene “Cat” Ames, Marie Agers, Floyd (Toby) Reynolds and Herbert Reynolds.

Visitation is scheduled from 4:30-8 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. G. Michael Rose. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
