Glenda Eileen Nash, 93, of Lohman, formerly of De Soto and Park Hills, died July 4, 2020, at Heisinger Bluffs. Mrs. Nash, a 1944 graduate of Elvins High School, worked at the Board of Probation and Parole in Farmington and retired in 1979. She was a loving wife and mother, who enjoyed reading and crocheting prayer shawls for family and friends and scarves for children from Southwest School and reading. She loved to go shopping and was a member of the First Church of God in Jefferson City. She was born March 29, 1927, in Elvins, the daughter of the late Frank and Floy (Lester) Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years: Harold Nash, whom she married on March 11, 1944, in Elvins.
She is survived by a son: Mike (Betty) Nash of Lohman; a son-in-law: Ken Biggers of De Soto; five grandchildren: Erin (William) Welch of Como, Miss., Phillip Nash of Lohman, Tammy Pona of De Soto, Michael (Tammy) Biggers of Bonne Terre and Matthew Smith; and eight great-grandchildren: Madison and Tyler of Como, Miss., Ashley, Alexis and Sam (Stephanie) of De Soto, Kyla (Aaron) of Bonne Terre, Arnold Michael Morales and Alex Morales.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Sue Biggers; one grandchild: Michelle Biggers; one great-grandchild: Mary Beth Biggers; a sister: Marjorie Weiss; and a brother: Frank Baker Jr.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at First Church of God, 1614 Southwest Blvd., in Jefferson City, immediately followed by a funeral service officiated by Pastor Joe Gregor. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck. Memorials may be made to First Church of God or to First Freewill Baptist Church, 1401 S. Fifth Street, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City.
