Gladys (Allen) Hodges, 92, of Imperial died Jan. 17, 2022, at Scenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Herculaneum. Ms. Hodges was a member of the Jefferson Heights Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Born in Potosi, she was the daughter of the late Mamie and Harry Allen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hyroline E. “Pete” Hodges.
She is survived by four children: Donna (Orvil) Loge of Ava, Sharon (Richard) Adams of Barnhart, Karen (Mike) Bragg of Marion, Ark., and H.E. “Bub” Hodges II of Imperial; 15 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren; and a sister.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Judith E. Vuylsteke; two grandsons: Derek Vuylsteke and Lucas Adams; a great-granddaughter: Shellby Loge; a great-great-granddaughter: Andi Loge; and seven siblings.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at noon Sunday, Jan. 23, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Burial is in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the Greater Missouri Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
