Gina Marie Fasnacht, 55, of Pevely died July 20, 2019, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Festus, Missouri. Mrs. Fasnacht retired in 2016 from the Chrysler Co. plant in Fenton. She was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 1268 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in St. Louis. Born May 14, 1964, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Donald George (Judy) Caputa of Cedar Hill and the late Lorna (Kohen) Caputa.
She is survived by her husband: Raymond E. Fasnacht III; two daughters: Julie (Trevor Rakers) Dempsey of St. Louis and Jaime Dempsey of St. Louis; a son: Michael Dempsey Jr of St. Louis; two stepsons: Tim (Shelly) Fasnacht of De Soto and Daniel (Karra) Fasnacht of Affton; eight grandchildren: Ava and Trevor Rakers Jr., Anthony Nico Rivituso and Vlad, Aurora, Athena, Brady and Julian Fasnacht; three aunts: Yolanda (Tim) Knox of Lenexa, Kan., Joy Dunnegan of Cedar Hill and Jeanette (the late Doug) Gift; two uncles: Tom (Debbie) Caputa and Ron Caputa, both of St. Louis; her father-in-law: Raymond E. Fasnacht II; her grandmother Norma (the late Peter) Birmingham of Cedar Hill, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: George and Josie Caputa and Herman and Helen Kohen; and an uncle John Dunnegan.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 5130 Wilson Ave., St. Louis, officiated by Monsignor Vince Bommarito. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
