Gerard C. Winkler, 61, of House Springs died July, 18, 2017 at Evelyn’s House hospice in Creve Coeur. He was a driver for Valley Farm Dairy and Prairie Farms. He enjoyed a good party at his clubhouse. He also enjoyed fishing with anyone who wanted to go, especially with his brother Jim. Most of all he loved the Fourth of July and fireworks and his family and friends called him “Bucket Bomb Man.”
Born April 6, 1956 in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Marion McCaffrey and William G. Winkler. He is survived by his wife: Cathy A. Winkler.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: William (Sara) Winkler of House Springs, Christopher (Angela) Winkler of Eureka and Nicholas of Fenton; four brothers: Rich of Arnold, Jim of Fenton, Bob of St. Louis and Greg of Ellisville; two sisters: Carol and Betty both of St. Louis County; seven grandchildren: Haylee, Charlie, Lily, Henry, Hannah, Zach and Jacob.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 19, at Kutis Funeral Home-Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road in St. Louis followed by a funeral services officiated by Virgil Nelson.
