Geraldine Lee Chasteen, 85, of Antonia died Feb. 4, 2018. Mrs. Chasteen was a retired homemaker and a member of Arnold Church of Christ. Born March 23, 1932, in Cairo, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Louis and Noble (Snider) Thrower.
She is survived by her husband of more than 67 years: Daniel Edgar Chasteen; three children: Linda (Larry) Fehlker of Antonia, Danny (Vera) Chasteen of Huntsville, Ala., and Jim Chasteen of Manila, Phillippines; five grandchildren: Gary (Kim) Chasteen, Steven (Melissa) Chasteen, Michele (Mike) Wells, Lorri (Drew) Martin and Hannah Maeser; six great-grandchildren: Shannon, Stephanie, Logan, Melanie Megan, Ella and Victor; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son: David Chasteen; a grandson: Mark Chasteen; and five siblings: Winnie (Frank) Chapman, Mil (Jack) Gordon, Wanda (Henry) Moore, Louis (Mary) Thrower and Neta Veinot.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, followed immediately by funeral services. Burial will be at Shepherd Hills Cemetery, Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the Arnold Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
