Gerald Wayne Taylor Sr., 68, of Cedar Hill died March 11, 2019, in Belleville, Ill. Mr. Taylor was an avid art lover and artist and a member of the Christian faith. He was born Aug. 19, 1950, in St. Louis, the son of Gwendolyn (Crites) Taylor of Cedar Hill and the late Morris Taylor.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by two children: Gerald Taylor Jr. of Cedar Hill and Julie (Randall) Taylor Hinsen of High Ridge; four siblings; five grandchildren: Nicholas (Kelli) Hoechst of Florissant, Kendra Hoechst of Arnold, Daniel Taylor of Potosi, Angelica Taylor of Cedar Hill and Gabrielle Hinsen of High Ridge; and one great-grandchild: Tyler.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill, officiated by Wayne Kuenzle. Burial is in the High Ridge Cemetery.
