George R. Boyer, 85, of Festus died March 15, 2014, in Crystal City. Mr. Boyer was retired from Anheuser Busch after 31 years of service and was a member of the Meramec Arnold Elks Club and the Festus Eagles. He was born Feb. 22, 1929.
He is survived by his wife, Julia A. “Judy” (Riley) Boyer of Festus; a son: Richard “Batman” (Shari) Boyer; a daughter: Deborah (Lester “Bub”) Johnson; three sisters: Frieda Poultny, Wilma Ann (Bobby Gene) Parmely and Marty (Jerry) Kohl; and three brothers: James (Verna) Boyer, Chuck Boyer and Eddie Boyer. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Art and Bobby Boyer.
Funeral services were held March 19 at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home in Arnold. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
