George Edward Watson Jr., 68, Cedar Hill
George Edward Watson Jr., 68, of Cedar Hill died May 13, 2021, in St. Louis. Mr. Watson worked for many years as a butcher at Food for Less in High Ridge. He was a hard worker, and he enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, four-wheeling, riding bicycles, spending time at the river, cooking and grilling meat for his family. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Born June 10, 1952, in Poplar Bluff, he was the son of the late Betty J. (Ward) and George Edward Watson Sr.
He is survived by his wife: Glenda; four daughters: Wendy (Richard) Fadely of Barlow, Ky., Donna Tipton of LaCenter, Ky., Shelly (Joe) Benson of Cedar Hill and Amanda (Nick) Wehnert of Cedar Hill; 10 grandchildren: Jeffery, Jordan, Jessica, Justina, Jacqualyn, Bethany, Hannah, Abby, Kaylee and MaKenzie; six great-grandchildren; a sister: Marjorie (Van) Chaney of Waco, Texas; a brother: Robert Watson of Poplar Bluff; and many other family members and friends.
A visitation will be from 4 until the funeral services at 6 p.m. Saturday (May 22) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
