George Alvin Hancock, 71, of De Soto died Nov. 27, 2020, at his home. Mr. Hancock was a member of United Auto Workers Local 136 in St. Louis. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading his newspaper, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Born Dec. 20, 1948, in Qulin, he was the son of the late Dudley and Adyline (Clubbs) Hancock.
He is survived by his wife: Tracey Jo-Ann (Beshears) Hancock of De Soto; three daughters: Kristi Hancock of Louisville, Ky., Megan Hall of De Soto and Mollie Hall of Festus; four brothers: Richard D. (Alice) Hancock of Carrollton, Ill., Monroe A. (Barbara) Hancock of High Ridge, Arvel E. (Jean) Hancock of West Plains and Raymond L. (Kathy) Hancock of Bernie; two granddaughters: Addi Hancock and Jessica Shucart; a grandson: Christopher Shucart; and numerous other family members and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
