Geneice Elaine (Bailey) Brown, 84, of High Ridge died Oct. 16, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Murphy. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano and was a talented seamstress and artist. Born Dec. 11, 1937, in Denver, Colo., she was the daughter of the late Genevieve and George Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gary Brown.

She is survived by three children: John Burkett of Show Low, Ariz., Lynnette (David) Cuellar of Albuquerque, N.M., and Lisa (Michael) Hipps of High Ridge; a brother: William Bailey of Northglenn, Colo.; four grandchildren: Porfirio J. Diaz of Gilbert, Ariz., Joseph R. Diaz of Albuquerque, N.M., Mateo Cuellar of Chicago, Ill., and step-grandson Russell Rasnake; one great-grandchild: Joshie M. Diaz of Gilbert, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews Steven (Sharon) Bailey of Mead, Colo., Eddie Heiny of Denver, Colo., Carolyn (Mark) Lee of Englewood, Colo., and Barry Hanke of Longmont, Colo.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Genevieve (Henry) Heiny; a sister-in-law: Tomie Bailey; a nephew: William Bailey Jr.; and a niece: Rose Hanke.

A funeral service was held Oct. 22 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Murphy, 203 Old Sugar Creek Road, Fenton, 63026. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
