Gary William Layton Sr., 74, of St. Louis, died May 22, 2019, in Barnhart. Mr. Layton was a warehouse manager. Born Nov. 21, 1944, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late William R. and Margaret Layton.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Darlene L. Layton; a son: Gary W. Layton Jr. of Waterloo, Ill.; a daughter: Melinda (Ron) Kapeller of St. Louis; and five grandchildren: Casey R. Layton, Kelsey (Nick) Montero, Ronny L. Kapeller, Ryan L. Kapeller and Randon L. Kapeller.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
