Gary Ray Massey, 60, of Festus died Jan. 24, 2017, at his home. Mr. Massey was a retired fork truck driver for the Ardagh Group and a member of G.M.P.I.U. Local 30. Born June 14, 1956, in Bloomington, Ill., he was the son of the late Junior and Alline (Angel) Massey.
He is survived by his wife: Connie Lynn (Rivers) Massey of Festus; four children: Shain (Jamie) Massey of De Soto, Danielle (Ryan) McKee of De Soto, Tonya (Dana) Kennard of Festus and Justin Womack of Warrensburg; six siblings: Jeff (Sue) Massey of Fenton, Julie (Scott) Hasselbring of Sibley, Ill., Cathy (Tom) Friese of San Antonio, Texas, Vickie (Mike Schain) Weber of Fenton, Karen (Terry) Graves of Bonne Terre and Sandra (Ron) Happold of Bismarck; 10 grandchildren; and his parents-in-law: Tex and Earline Rivers of Festus.
A funeral service was held Jan. 28 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Derry Bowling. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
