Gail Christie (Merseal) Kenuam, 42, of De Soto died Aug. 13, 2021, in Festus. Mrs. Kenuam was a certified nurse assistant. She was a talented artist and painter, and enjoyed music, watching TV, reading the Bible, playing Candy Crush and spending time with family and friends. Born Aug. 20, 1978, in Festus, she was the daughter of Linda (John “Papa”) Merseal Watkins of De Soto and the late Brian D. Wilson.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband: Tilton Kenuam of De Soto; two sons: Ryan S. Merseal and Chance J. Merseal, both of De Soto; three sisters: Julie (Jack) Greer of Cadet, Sarah (JJ) Hammond of Hammond, Ore., and Amy (Roger) James of Herculaneum; three brothers: John Watkins Jr. of California, Aron Wilson of Cadet and Hoggie Wilson of Cadet; a brother-in-law: James (Amy) Kenuam of Hillsboro; two sisters-in-law: Ashley Kenuam and Allyssa Kenuam, both of De Soto; two uncles: Larry (Lorie) Merseal and Don (Nadine) Merseal, both of De Soto; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Lawrence and Betty (Gillam) Merseal.
A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements were under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
