Frieda June Sutton, 95, of Imperial died June 25, 2019, at The Villas in De Soto. Mrs. Sutton had always been active and was a member of 24 Hour Fitness. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends, and was known for her homemade rolls. Born June 9, 1924, in Brunot, she was the daughter of the late Lissie (Davis) and Oscar “Doc” King. She was preceded in death by her husband: Willis Paul Sutton.
She is survived by two sons: Randy (Karen) Sutton of Wright City and Gary (Brenda) Sutton of Middleburg, Fla.; a daughter: Cindy (Dennis) Samnee of De Soto; a sister: Lois Wallis of Arnold; seven grandchildren: Joe (Beth) Sutton, Charles (Samantha) Sutton, John (Megan) Sutton, Steve (Susanne) Sutton, Joslyn (Bobby) Sutton, Ben Samnee and Chris (Laura) Samnee; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Hadley King, Daulty King, Orba King, Everett King and Wayne King; and five sisters: Rona Hicks, Ethel Belmar, Pauline Raney, Juanita King and Frankie Moore.
Funeral services and burial were private. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
