Wideman, frank

Frank Wideman, 77, of Hillsboro died Feb. 14, 2016, at his home. Mr. Wideman was a farmer and worked for the Jefferson County Highway Department for 32 years. He was a member of the Arnold Eagles Club, was a wood splitter and loved dancing, fishing and socializing. Born Feb. 28, 1938, in Ware, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Goldie (Harness) Wideman. He was preceded in death by his partner: Mary Kleinschmidt.

He is survived by four daughters: Brenda (Chris) Wideman of Hillsboro, Linda (Jesse) Warner of New Haven, Sandy (Don) Pratt of Blackwell and Debbie (Larry) Douglas of Bonne Terre; a sister: Opal (Morris) Long of Potosi; a brother: Delbert (Joann) Wideman of Hillsboro; and 12 grandchildren, including Brianna and twins Cody and Ruby.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Norma (the late Ted) Sebastian; a son: Steven Wadlow; and a niece: Penny Long.

Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Terry Simpkin. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
