Francis Ray “Frank” Dierks, 66, of De Soto died March 23, 2022, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mr. Dierks worked at Arnold Ready Mix until his retirement in 2021, then worked part-time cutting grass and hauling scrap metal. He served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1984 and then with the Missouri National Guard from 1984 to 1989. He was a member of First Baptist Church of De Soto and was known for being a hard worker who would do anything he could to help people. Born Oct. 2, 1955, in De Soto, he was the son of the late Raymond and Loretta (Valle) Dierks.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia “ Patty” (Spiker) Dierks of De Soto; a daughter: Loretta Lynn (Bryan Douglas) Dierks of Ferguson; a son-in-law: Brad (Jessica) Gibbs; a sister: Kathy (Steve) Bequette of Cadet; a brother: Robert Dierks of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Sherry Dierks of De Soto; two brothers-in-law: John (Tonya) Spiker and Don Spiker, both of De Soto; and three grandchildren: Brett (Skylar) Gibbs, Baileigh Gibbs and Grace Gibbs, all of De Soto.
A funeral service was held March 26 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Brad DeLaughter. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 2000 Grace Way, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
