Everett L. Griffith, 84, Hillsboro

Everett L. Griffith, 84, of Hillsboro died Oct. 1, 2019, in St. Louis County. Mr. Griffith was a veteran of the U.S. Army and longtime owner of Griffith Construction. He was a member of Victory Church and the International Fellowship of Christian Businessmen. He and his wife took 49 mission trips to Jamaica spreading the gospel. He was an avid fisherman.

Born Dec. 29, 1934, in Parma, he was the son of the late Wayne J. and Norma (Hardin) Griffith.

He is survived by his wife: Fay (Jarvis) Griffith of Hillsboro; two daughters: Laura (Buddy) Ferguson of Barnhart and Renee Griffith of Creve Coeur; a son: Timothy Griffith of Hillsboro; a daughter-in-law: Summer Griffith of Pleasant Hope; two grandsons: Cody (Lindsay) Winkler of St. Genevieve and Joshua Griffith of Washington D.C.; two granddaughters: Caycie Hooper of Fayetteville, Tenn. and Molly Griffith of Pleasant Hope; five great-grandchildren: Jase, Garrett, Ava, Jayden and Tinzlee’mae; a sister: Zell Jenison of New York; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son: Norman Griffith; a grandson: Cory Winkler; and four siblings: Albert, Louise, Ralph and Chester.

A memorial gathering will be at 4 p.m. until the funeral services at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at Victory Church, 1 Victory Drive, in Pevely. Memorials may be made to ACTS Church Jamaica, 6194 Bardstown Trail, Waddy, KY 40076. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
