Eva Jean Hall, 73, of De Soto died Sept. 3, 2021, in De Soto. She was active in the De Soto Baptist Church. She participated in many church functions and considered the church members her second family. She was a wonderful caregiver to several families, and she enjoyed working in her yard and helping people. Born June 30, 1948, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lucille Hall.
She is survived by a sister: Laura (John) Haverstick of De Soto; a sister-in-law: Reba Richardson of De Soto; three nieces and nephews: Ron (Sheri) Haverstick, Debbie (David) Belt and Julie (Bill) Boardman; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews: Tiffany Haverstick, Misty Gullett, Brandi Williamson, Tyler Haverstick, Ryan Belt, Perry Boardman, Jayden Richardson, Cristlyn Boice and Adelin Boice.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Perry “Bud” Richardson Jr.; a nephew: Perry Richardson III; and a niece: Patty Missey.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until the funeral service at 2 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 5) at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Brad Delaughter. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church of De Soto, 2000 Grace Way, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
