Eula Marie Yount, 89, of Festus died Feb. 17, 2022, at Crystal Oaks Nursing Center in Festus. Mrs. Yount worked as an emergency room administrator for Mercy Hospital Jefferson and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in De Soto. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, needlepoint, wood search puzzles spending time with family. She was born Sept. 11, 1932, in Hiram, the daughter of the late David Clem and Erma Marie (Costephens) Vannoy. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Yount.
She is survived by two daughters: Barbara (Larry) Gebhardt of Festus and Deborah (Ronald) Lathim of St. Louis; a son: Harold Yount of Festus; four siblings; a daughter-in-law: Denise Yount of Festus; nine grandchildren: Amy, Rachael, Jeremiah, Joshua, Jonathon, Jennifer, Eddie, Jesse and Ashley; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a son: Charles Yount; and a grandson: Andy Gebhardt.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Dr., in Festus. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis, 3450 Park Avenue, St. Louis, 63104. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
