Eugene “Boogie” Karius Jr., 55, of De Soto died May 3, 2015, in Des Peres. Mr. Karius was a cement finisher with Local 527. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and making wine. Born July 20, 1959, in St. Louis, he was the son of Edna (Shelton) and Eugene Karius Sr. of St. Louis.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Regina (Laemmel) Karius of De Soto; two daughters: Tasha (Brett Jr.) Gobble of Bismarck and Felicia (Jason W.) Miller of De Soto; a granddaughter: Starr Miller of De Soto; and two brothers: Robert (Chris) Karius of Imperial and Edward (Yvonne) Karius of French Village.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6 at Mahn De Soto Chapel, 900 N. Main, in De Soto. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 200 Boyd Street, De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
