Erna P. Weiss, 91, of Hillsboro died March 9, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Weiss was a homemaker. Born Dec. 13, 1925, in Possum Hollow near Pevely, she was the daughter of the late Gustav “Gus” Noack and Laura (Schraer) Noack and the stepdaughter of the late Bertha Noack. She was preceded in death by her husband: Orlin Edward Weiss Jr.
She is survived by three children: Ed “Butch” (Connie) Weiss of Hillsboro, Edna “Cookie” (Thomas Wayne) Jordan of De Soto and Edith “Edee” (Joe) Belanger of Hillsboro; a daughter-in-law: Sharon Weiss and her family; five half siblings: Ralph (Pat) Noack of De Soto, Arlon (Valerie) Noack of De Soto, Grace (Gary) Russell of Hillsboro, Richard (Becky) Noack of De Soto and Dorothy Noack of De Soto; six grandchildren: and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Edwin “Duke” Weiss; three brothers: Elmer Noack, Art Noack and Frank Noack; and a half brother: Donald “Bud” Noack.
A funeral service was held March 13 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Dr. G. Michael Rose. Burial was in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Disability Resource Association, 130 Brandon Wallace Way, Festus, 63028; or the American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, 63108. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
