Held, Ermina

Ermina Emma (Wynn) Held, 100, of Hillsboro died Jan. 19, 2018, in Hillsboro. Mrs. Held was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Born June 22, 1917, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of the late Christina Pearl (Dupperette) and Martin William Wynn Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bernard Arlon Held.

She is survived by two sons: Michael J. (Belinka Novotny-Held) Held of Hillsboro and Arlon (Gini) Held of Caledonia; a daughter: Mary Ann Rudy of Festus; a sister-in-law: Phyliss Wynn of Festus; eight grandchildren: Gabriel (Nikki) Whaley, Joseph (Laci Ortega) Schott, Brandie (Jim) Tieken, Bernadette (Tim) Kennedy, Elissa (Jim) Held-Bradford, Luke (Sarah) Held, Celia (Ryan) Koory and Bjorn (Julia) Held; and 12 great-grandchildren: Marissa, Paige, Tyler, Molly, Ayden, Alivia, Brianna, Bryce, Austin, Keylani, Riley and Colin;

She was preceded in death by a son: Matthew J. Held; a son-in-law: Bob Rudy; four brothers: James, Frederick, Richard and Martin Wynn Jr.; and five sisters: Pauline Jesse, Mildred Wilson, Bernice Taylor and two infants.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Services begin with prayers at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, and proceed to Good Shepherd Church, 701 Third St., in Hillsboro for Mass at 11 a.m., officiated by Father Chris Holtmann. Burial will follow in the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Cemetery in Hillsboro. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses in Mrs. Held’s memory. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home.
