Ellen Irene Rasnic, 97, of Festus died Dec. 1, 2019, at Festus Manor. Mrs. Rasnic was a homemaker and member of the Baptist faith. Born June 17, 1922, in Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Clara (Anderson) and Edward Thompson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold Rasnic.
She is survived by six children: Harold (the late Suzanne) Rasnic of Dayton, Ohio; Barbara (Dale) Tetlow of Stanwood, Wash.; Carolyn (the late Kenneth) Williams of Arnold; Roger (Dennis) Rasnic of Texas; Ralph Rasnic of Kansas City and Dawn (John) Lewis of De Soto; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four children: Larry Rasnic, Everett Rasnic, Neal Rasnic and Ruthanne Rasnic; and seven siblings: William Thompson, Fred Thompson, Don Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Darlene Rupp, Margeret Hoyt and an infant brother, Lloyd.
A celebration of life was held for Mrs. Rasnic. Graveside services were held at the Prairie Valley Cemetery in Salisbury. Arrangements were under the direction of Cypress Pointe Cremation in St. Louis County.
