Ella Ruth (McCoy) Robinson, 83, House Springs
Ella Ruth (McCoy) Robinson, 83, of House Springs died Jan. 22, 2022, in House Springs. Mrs. Robinson loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team and the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team. She also enjoyed fishing with her husband and painting his wood work, as well as crafting, talking over a cup of coffee and playing Rook. She will be remembered for her kindness and her laugh and smile. Born Sept. 2, 1938, in Rockport, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Cecil Daniel and Margaret May (Bratcher) McCoy.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Aubrey Lee Robinson.
She is survived by two children: Benney (Romona) Robinson of Richwoods and Gary (Barb) Robinson of House Springs; nine grandchildren: William, Christina, Rebecca, Krystle (Scott), Karrie (Frank), Nathan (Brianna), Kevin (Melony), Kimmie (Travis) and Shane (Deanna); two step-grandchildren: Amy and Jennifer; 22 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; 11 nieces and nephews: Nancy Small, Angie (Jeremy) Young, Daniel (Leslie) McCoy, Tim (Cathy) McCoy, Sherry McCoy, Robert (Tammy) McCoy, Marty Small, Stevie Small, Jamie Warren, Matt Warren and JD (Lesia) Robinson; one brother: Larry (Donna) McCoy; one sister-in-law: Dolores Robinson; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by one daughter: Rena (Dennis) Marion; three siblings: Janice (Eddie) Warren, Wanda Jean (CL) Marlow and Bobby (Freda) McCoy; two nephews: Danny (Joyce) McCoy and Mark McCoy; and one brother-in-law: James Robinson
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 3) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday (Feb. 4) at the funeral home, followed by burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
