Ella Mae Livingston, 76, of Festus died Jan. 20, 2022, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur. Mrs. Livingston was a retired custodian with the Festus R-6 School District and attended Buren A.M.E. Chapel in Herculaneum. Affectionately known as “Auntie Mae-Mae,” she loved to play bingo and spend time with family. Born July 12, 1945, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Juanita (LaMarque) Henderson.
She is survived by three sons: twins Dennis (Kay) Henderson of Topeka, Kan. and Dale (Gina) Henderson of North Pole, Alaska, and Daren Henderson of Topeka; four sisters: Margie Sue Henderson of Festus, Audrey Marie Telfair of Farmington, Norma Kay (Dwayne) Bisch of De Soto, Rita Elaine Henderson of Festus; five brothers: George Arthur (Laurine) Henderson of Ft. Washington, Md., Tommy Ray (Monika) Henderson of De Soto, Alfred Leon (Raschell) Henderson of Festus, Gary Dean Henderson of Festus, Timothy Scott (Gail) Henderson of Ringgold, Ga.; six grandchildren: Dale Jr., Dartan, Diaysha, Emanuel, Dennis Jr. and Daniel; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather: Cleveland “Cleophus” Henderson; and three brothers: Marvin Henderson, Floyd Henderson, and Tony Henderson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, officiated by the Rev. Gabrielle Kennedy and the Rev. Martinous Walls. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to Goodwill Industries. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
