Ella Mae Johnson, 86, of Festus died Jan. 2, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Johnson was a pharmacy technician for Mercy Hospital Jefferson for 28 years and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and she loved animals, especially her little rescue buddy, Mikey. Born Aug. 7, 1930, in Charleston, she was the daughter of Charles and Ivy (McCarty) Grimes.
She is survived by her husband: Louis Johnson; two sons: Ricky Webb Dillon of Bertrand and Tommy Glenn Dillon of Festus; two daughters: Sandra Kay (Reece) Christian of East Prairie and Tammy Lynn (David) Brown of Festus; nine grandchildren: Tiffany Jackson, Crystal Hammontree, Dustin, Kim and Stephanie Dillon, Julie and Artie Christian, Angel Thompson and Jodie Seek; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Michael Dillon; a daughter: LaDonna Lynn Beck; a sister: Ruby Bain; and her dog: Paco the Chihuahua.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Second Baptist Church, 723 Horine Road, Festus, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Pastor James Waymire. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Living Springs Camp in care of Second Baptist Church, 723 Horine Road, Festus, MO 63028. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel, Festus.
