Elizabeth Louise “Betty” Gaskill, 80, of De Soto died June 14, 2018, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mrs. Gaskill was a retired cook and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crystal City. She was born May 18, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Wayne Bowers and Bernice Frye. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Gaskill.
She is survived by a daughter: Renee (Wyatt) Jenkins of Chino Hills, Calif.; a brother: Robert Tomaselli of Medina, Ohio; a sister-in-law: Bernadette Tomaselli of Macedonia, Ohio; two grandsons: Richard (Mandy) Jones of De Soto and Robert Jenkins of Chino Hills, Calif.; a niece: Joanne Vale of Northfield Center, Ohio; two nephews: Brian Tomaselli of North Royalton, Ohio, and Stephen Tomaselli of Mentor, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Thomas Tomaselli.
A memorial service is scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the De Soto Community Center, 400 Boyd St. Memorials may be made to the De Soto Little League, 815 Amvets Dr., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
