Elaine F. Bachmann, 94, of Festus died March 6, 2015, at Festus Manor Nursing Center. Mrs. Bachmann was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City and was the eldest member of VFW Post 3777 Ladies Auxiliary. She was born March 10, 1920, in Commerce, Okla., the daughter of the late Naomi (Mace) and Carl Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter G. Bachmann.
She is survived by a son: Ronald (Linda) Bachmann of Aurora; a daughter: Karen (Dale) Tolly of Oreana, Ill.; a sister: Sharon (the late Bob) Engel of Great Bend, Kan.; a sister-in-law: Beverly Williams of Parsons, Kan.; two grandchildren: Justin (Katherine) Bachmann and Carrie (Mike) Moschino; and a great-granddaughter: Morgan Moschino.
She was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul, Earl and Kenneth Williams; and two sisters: Lorine Barnes and Nadine (the late Reagan) Lattimore.
Visitation is at 11 a.m. and funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City, officiated by the Rev. Jarold Rux. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral home in Festus.
