Edna Hancock, 95, of Moriarty, N.M., died April 19, 2018, in Moriarty. Mrs. Hancock was an office worker for Procter and Gamble and was a Baptist. Born Sept. 6, 1923, in Des Moines, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Helen H. Wells and Roy J. Schaeffer.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John Hancock.
She is survived by two children: Dennis and Lonny Hancock of Moriarty; six grandchildren: Tammi (Josh) Meese of Horine, Ray (Kirsten) Hancock of Hillsboro, Matt (Carol) Hancock of Hillsboro, Jamie Hixson of San Diego, Todd (Tracy) Hancock of Kirkwood and Curt Hancock of Moriarty; 14 great-grandchildren: Robert and Steven Hixson, Anjelys, Brayden, Jase, Able, Daniel (Tiffany), Amber, Christain, Blake and Emma Hancock, Amanda and Trey Zimmerly, Brittany Timmon, with one on the way; and five great-great-grandchildren: Madyson and Elianna Hancock, Ryan Schwartz, Lily Knightlinger and Iris Timmons.
She was preceded in death by a son: Gary Hancock; two siblings: Frances (Hank) Schaeffer and Roy J. Schaeffer; and two grandsons: Jason and Kevin Hancock.
Private services officiated by Bobbi Jo Smith will be held later. Burial will be in Memorial Park in St. Louis.
