Earl Oliver “Butch” Coplin Jr., 50, of Falcon died March 1, 2014, at his home. Mr. Coplin was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed camping, spinning fire, playing horseshoes and foosball, playing pool and going to concerts. Born Jan. 17, 1964, in Festus, he was the son of Lois Kay (William) Smith Coplin Daniels of Falcon and the late Earl Coplin Sr.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his girlfriend of 11 years: Jeanine McClure of Falcon; a son: Butch L. Coplin of Alton, Ill.; a sister: Billie Jo (Donald Len Harp) Daniel of Falcon; three stepsisters: Beverly Wulf of Alaska and Jessica Daniels and Abby Daniels, both of Eureka; a brother: Jason (Kim) Coplin of Pevely; two nieces: Jodee and JoLee; and many other relatives and friends in Jefferson County.
Memorial services are planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the Downtown Event Center in Mountain Grove. Burial is in the Lone Star Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home in Mountain Grove.
