Douglas L. Whitener, 61, Imperial

Douglas L. Whitener, 61, of Imperial died April 5, 2021, in St. Louis. Mr. Whitener was a quality control worker for Procter and Gamble. He was a member of the Windsor High School Hall of Fame and the Sons of the American Legion with Post 283 in Imperial. Born Oct. 18, 1959, in St. Louis, he was the son of Mildred (Skaggs) Whitener and the late Arthur Whitener.

He is survived by his wife: Rebecca (Gorsuch) Whitener; two sons: Brian and Josh Whitener, both of Imperial; a grandchild: Ella Lu Whitener; a brother: David (Debbie) Whitener of Bryan, Texas; and a sister: Deena (Bill) Truka of Imperial.

He was preceded in death by a brother: Darrell Whitener.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday (April 11) at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday (April 12) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
